Here's a list of High-Speed Internet providers that service our community:

1.  Starstream Communications - Our local cable TV and cable internet provider:
Website: www.starstream.net
This is our speed leader - by far the fastest service you can buy.
I usually average at least 3.0 Mbps. While overall expensive, it is the cheapest $$$/Kbps and used by most in the neighborhood.

2. Central Valley Broadband – wireless broadband provider.
Website: www.calwisp.com
Rated speed is 700Kbps (or  0.7 Mbps)
Requires line of site to one of their towers.
Good bang for the buck.

3. Nor Cal Broadband – wireless broadband provider.
Website: www.ncbb.net
Multiple speed options from 256 Kbps to 1.5Mbps
Requires line of site to one of their towers.
Not as cost effective as 1 or 2 but they do offer the lowest price for their slowest service (and 256 Kbps is slow).

4. Zeta Broadband - wireless broadband provider.
Website: www.zetabroadband.com
I don't know much about this provider and their website provides no information about cost or speed. They are the company that bought out FastKat Wireless. *edit 3/16/07* Their website now lists various speed/price options and they are marketing heavily in the area.

Happy Surfing,
Stan
